La baie de la Girodeau

Boating, Accessible by water

With its vast aquatic plant beds and over a kilometer in length, the Girodeau Bay gives the illusion of bordering solid ground. Interestingly, these aquatic plants often emerge from depths of two to three meters. The bay is easily accessible from Lake Saint-Pierre, as long as you stay centered while entering. Swimming and fishing are also possible in this area. At dusk, if you position yourself deep into the bay, you’ll witness hundreds of ducks returning to roost for the night. And at dawn, the calls of thousands of birds will be your natural alarm clock.
